Twitter may add voice effects to Spaces

Anyone who is a frequent Twitter user will probably see that Twitter is launching a voice-talk feature called Spaces to compete intensely with Clubhouse, and not long ago, well-known tech writer Jane Manchum Wong tweeted that from her Keeping up with Twitter, she speculates that Twitter is lurking a feature called Voice Transformer that can convert voices or create sound effects.

In the past, Twitter began experimenting with Spaces with iOS users before June 2020, then March pushed out Android, including a desktop version in April.

Sound effects may not sound like a great feature. But it also makes the app more interesting and potentially more accessible to Twitter. It’s helpful for people to be able to convert their voices, for example, for people who want privacy. and groups that want to prevent bullying, etc.

Twitter hasn’t responded much to this. But by the way, Wong’s news releases often come out exactly as expected. For example, she previously predicted that she would have to have Twitter’s Tip Jar feature (a feature that allows Twitter users to earn money from other users), as well as Twitter Blue, a subscription system.
