Twitch Leak: Here’s how much Thailand’s top streamers earn

Thailand’s top three Twitch streamers earned THB7.6 million (US$224,000) between them in two years, according to a leak of the gaming platform’s top 10,000 earners.

Chief among them – ranked No 2,423 worldwide – is BoyMinORu, who earned just shy of THB3 million (US$87,600) since August 2019, followed by No. 3,118 FPSThailand (THB2.4 million / US$69,600) and No. 3,340 RebirthzTV (THB2.2 million / US$65,300).

To give those numbers some context, tracking services show BoyMinORu streamed about 6,900 hours since August 2019, which means earned about THB430 (US$12.70) an hour. Not exactly rock star wages. Since he joined Twitch in November 2016, he’s streamed 21,723 hours aka roughly 905 days aka 2.5 years. At most, about 33,100 people have tuned into his streams, which altogether have been watched 64.7 million times.
