Tulips burst into full bloom in Chaiyaphum

Despite tropical storm Talim delivering more rain to Thailand, a sea of mist is expanding across Sai Thong and Pa Hin Ngam national parks in the northeastern town of Chaiyaphum as dok krachiao (Siam tulips) burst into bloom to greet a crowd of visitors between July and August.

Visitors can take in the astonishing views of four pink Siam tulip fields in Sai Thong National Park, which is encircled by the Phang Hoei mountain range and features a 4km trekking trail. Between 1979 and 1989, this area was utilised as part of a forest concession to generate subpar wood and rubber wood.
