True Move H Universal Communication (TUC), Thailand’s second biggest mobile operator by subscribers, expects its 5G subscriber base will surpass 2 million by the end of this year, buoyed by the roll out of various 5G handsets with reasonable prices and valuable packages.
True’s 2-million subscriber target for 5G is also at the same level envisioned by the country’s biggest mobile carrier Advanced Info Service (AIS) by the end of this year.
True has launched a marketing campaign with special privileges to draw users to use 5G handsets, including a free True Premier Football Lite package, providing access to view four English Premier League 2021/22 matches per week via its over-the-top platform.
