The 2023 Thailand International Trombone Festival is kicking off tomorrow and features an extensive line-up of concerts and music activities for four days, until Sunday.
Organised by Mahidol University’s College of Music, the annual event, now in its 4th year, aims to bring together music lovers from around the world while inspiring trombonists of all levels and backgrounds.
Audiences are invited into the world of trombones through a number of recitals by top artists, musical clinics, masterclasses, speed lessons and even encouragements to join an ensemble.
World-renowned headline performers featured in the event include Marshall Gilkes, an American composer and jazz trombonist; Megumi Kanda, a Japanese author and principal trombonist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra; and Tomer Maschkowski, a bass trombonist of the Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin.
