Transgender Suspect Nabbed at Pattaya Hair Salon After Robbing Gold Shop

Pattaya —

A transgender suspect was arrested after robbing a Pattaya gold shop yesterday, April 26th.

The suspect, Chuenkamol Nasingkhan, 30, a transgender person who identifies as female, according to police, was apprehended at 4:30 PM yesterday after she stole two gold chains weighing two baht each from the Phet Thong Wanida jewelry store located in Pattaya’s Soi Nern Plub Wan at 11:20 AM.

According to police, face-masked Chuenkamol walked into the shop and requested to try two gold chains before fleeing the shop on her motorbike parked in front of the store. No injuries were reported.

The store owner, who was not identified, then notified Pattaya Police of the robbery. The authorities then began tracking the suspect and quickly learned that Chuenkamol drove her motorbike to the Big C Extra Department Store in Central Pattaya to attempt to sell one of the stolen gold chains for 61,380 baht.

She then abandoned her vehicle at the department store and hailed a taxi to the Terminal 21 Pattaya Shopping Mall to exchange the remaining gold chain.

After receiving the money, Chuenkamol went to the Hair Care Salon to change her hair color and was subsequently arrested there by police following her movements on Pattaya’s CCTV network. The whole police operation took only four hours.

Upon questioning, Chuenkamol reportedly confessed to the robbery but claimed she needed money to pay her debts and asked for forgiveness, apologizing for the situation.

She was charged with robbery and remained in custody as of press time.
