Transfer Non-Immigrant O Visa to New (US) Passport

I had to renew my passport because my old one was expiring. My non-immigrant O visa is in my old passport and is valid until October 2023. I saw on the US Embassy (Bangkok) website that they no longer provide a letter or any documentation for transfering the visa and advise a visit to Thai immigration. The Thailand immigration Bangkok division’s website says:

**Documents Required**
1. Application form
2. A copy of police station report
3. A copy of old passport which photo attached (if any)
4. A copy of new passport
5. Letter from the embassy of the foreigner to the Immigration Bureau requesting cooperation for visa stamp in the new passport of the foreigner.

Has anyone successfully transfered a non-immigrant O visa to their new U.S. passport recently? Can you share your experience/what was required?
