Tops daily

Has Tops Daily moved in on 7-11’s turf? I was just here in December 22 and arrived again yesterday. At the airport I got an AIS sim and they told me fill ups are not available at 7-11 (she gave me the X with her arms) but is available at Tops, in addition to some other top brands. On top of that, I’m noticing way more Tops Daily locations than I did barely a year ago. Did Tops buy a bunch of 7-11 locations up? I’m having an existential crises being in Bangkok and not seeing a 7-11 everywhere but now Tops. Is it even Bangkok anymore? Am I dreaming or awake? Alternative universe? Please help.

And yes this is labelled correctly. It’s an event in my head!
