Topics of the past brought back to life

Number 1 Gallery is holding “Montage”, which brings back topics of the past through artwork from Saturday to Jan 13.

This is the sixth solo exhibition by Pat Yingcharoen, a special teacher and art lecturer at Silpakorn University, who has combined his interest in history with painting, using contemporary techniques in his own style.

His works in the past shows often touched on topics that were “sensitive” in the eyes of the then military government and were prohibited from being criticised by the public, thus affecting the freedom of speech.

This exhibition, however, is comparatively a retrospective and a review to find a conclusion of his painting processes over the past decade.
