What is the acceptable standard amount and frequency for tipping when staying in Bangkok now days? Used to tip bell boys/girls 20bhat upon arrival, departure and luggage to/from room. Room service 40 bhat left each day on the pillow (FYI 5 star hotels). Leave whatever coins to restaurants. Massage at Central World 100 bhat (partner thinks I’m over tipping). Thoughts? I’m envious some travelers are completely oblivious and don’t tip at all! ** Edit: Thanks everyone for your insights, now that I’m aware, I won’t feel so bad next time :p **
