This City is the Most Polluted in the World – Videos

This city was just ranked the most polluted city in the world — here’s how its government is trying to improve air quality. 

Chiang Mai, Thailand, was ranked the most polluted city in the world on March 9, 2021.

Safari animals at the Chiang Mai Night Safari were sprayed with water to cut some of the air pollution around them and make it easier for them to breathe.

The method of spraying water into the atmosphere is believed to increase humidity and absorb toxic PM 2.5 particles. The Thai government introduced these measures to cut down on pollution in 2019. Scientists are skeptical as to whether this tactic works or not.
