The Fig Lobby on 55 Rim Tang Rod Fai Sai Paknam Road in Klong Toey, is a cinematic fusion of a cosy living room at a friend’s vacation house, a secret dance club, an art restaurant and an otherworldly hotel, creating an entirely new living experience for the brave and ever-changing world we inhabit.
Though The Fig Lobby opened their “space odyssey” in November 2022, the building dates back to the 80s. It has transformed from a residential project into a community-driven underdog. It’s a hospitality space with a mission to foster inclusivity, sustainability, freedom of expression and a amalgamation of communities. The author of the building’s dreamscape presence, as well as its hotel rooms, is Austrian architect Markus Roselieb.
