That’s right, Bangkok’s parks reopen Tuesday. Go wild, get a massage while you’re at it.

Good news for Bangkok residents pining for green space, a manicure or tattoo.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the city will reopen select businesses and public spaces such as public parks, salons, tattoo parlors, spas, massage parlors and museums which had been closed to stymie the spread of COVID-19.

City Hall cited the low risk presented by these venues in announcing the eased restrictions.

Several caveats were added affecting business. For instance, massage parlors can’t offer herbal treatments, steam treatments or facials, and group picnics will not be allowed in parks and botanical gardens.

They come as COVID-19 cases are steady, if not still climbing, in the greater Bangkok area. On Monday, more than 1,300 cases were recorded in the capital alone, and 45 active clusters continue to seed outbreaks across the city, despite ongoing restrictions.
