So I applied to the Thai Elite Visa 10 days ago. I asked the Thailandelite.com support if it’s possible to do a split payment, because wise probably does not let me pay 600k in one go. The answer was yes it’s possible, but the payment has to be done within 3 working days. That sounds suspicious. I remember reading somewhere that you have 7 or 10 days to do the payment. Also, if I do a normal bank transfer from an EU bank to a Thai bank it probably will take 5 days or more.
Now I wonder if Thailandelite.com is really officially working with the Thai government? Or is it a possible scam? Why the rush with the payment if the background check for the TEV takes 1-4 months? And then they want the money within 3 working days lol.
I read that many guys got scammed from Thai elite visa agencies and that only Thailandelite.com is a official agency that works together with the government. So I applied from their website.
I tried to get a bank account here so I wanted to transfer 600k and be ready to pay when I got the visa. But the banks do want a work permit and say not possible on a tourist visa. But some people seem to have luck and still got a bank account on a tourist visa. Any advice?
