As the world moves beyond Covid-19 pandemic amid geopolitical crisis around the globe, Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, on Thursday in New Delhi said that the country in 2023 expects to witness over 1.6 million tourists from India.
Highlighting the people-to-people relationship between the two nations, Hongtong said that Thailand is one of the top holiday destinations for Indians.
While speaking at a press conference organised by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC), the Ambassador mentioned that the Thailand government is making sure to cater to global tourists through multiple initiatives.
Notably, Thailand is taking steps to attract more wealthy international investors, retirees and digital nomads in order to boost its economy. Last year, the government took a massive step in allowing foreign nationals the right to buy land for housing.
