Thailand, Singapore back on flyers’ radar after change in Covid rule | Kolkata News

KOLKATA: Business travellers, those on vacation, organisers of destination weddings, human resource executives in corporates, and travel agents welcomed the health ministry decision to do away with a pre-departure Covid test report for those flying into India from Thailand and Singapore.
The relaxation has also been given to flyers from China, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea, but the excitement in Kolkata is over Thailand and Singapore as the city has direct flight links with these countries.

“Tourism related to meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) that corporates organise for employees will return to Thailand and Singapore, as will destination weddings, following the scrapping of pre-departure RT-PCR tests while travelling to Kolkata from February 13.
