Thailand received 8.6 million foreign arrivals in the January-April period, with spending of 353 billion baht (US$10.45 billion), a government official said on Friday.
The government expected more than 520,000 foreign tourists in the week of May 1-7, government spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri said in a statement.
The government estimates between 25 to 30 million arrivals for the full year.
Vietnam received over 3.6 million foreign visitors in January-April, equivalent to 62% of pre-pandemic numbers and nearly half of this year’s eight-million target.
