Thailand Post urges the leaked information as old information, not customer data.

Thailand Post Co., Ltd. clarified in the case of media dissemination of information, indicating that the database from Thailand Post Co., Ltd. was dropped, resulting in information such as name, surname and telephone number of more than 41,220 items published online.

Mr. Kalong Sapsa-at Chief Executive Officer Operation Division, Thailand Post Company Limited, Acting President Said the incident was not a customer data breach and was not a theft. But caused by the wrong system setting of the third party employed by the Thai Post

The leaked information is internal information of Thai Post employees / employees used in Gamification system or learning skill-building games Which the Thai Post office does not currently use such system

The company has deposited the information in the cloud. Thus allowing third parties to have access to the information Thailand Post has already corrected and blocked access to the said database. By requesting to confirm, no customer details have been leaked in any way

However, the Thai Post’s customer service database is stored in a system that is protected by international standard security devices. Which has a security system that prevents theft from outsiders as well
