Thailand PM reveals reason behind Taylor Swift’s one-stop Southeast Asia tour

The mystery surrounding Taylor Swift’s decision to have only one stop in Southeast Asia has finally been resolved.

According to a recent report by the Thai Inquirer, organizers of the pop star’s The Eras Tour have reached an agreement with the Singaporean government stipulating that Swift will not perform in any other ASEAN country.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said that it would have been more economical for Taylor Swift to perform in Thailand, and they were even willing to subsidize at least 500 million baht for her to do so. However, the deal with Singapore had already been finalized.

“If she had come to Thailand, it would have been less expensive to organize the event here, and I believe she would have attracted more sponsors and tourists to the country. Even though we would have had to subsidize at least 500 million baht, it would have been worth it,” he…
