Thailand parliament has early July deadline to convene

BANGKOK — Thailand’s political factions are building toward a critical prime ministerial vote now that the Election Commission has endorsed all 500 newly elected lower house members, giving parliament until early July to convene.

The Election Commission by Monday had officially endorsed all 500 winners, who are slated to start receiving their lawmaker certificates on Tuesday.
