Thailand allows eateries to serve booze till 11pm

BANGKOK (Bangkok Post) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has agreed to allow restaurants to serve alcohol until 11pm starting tomorrow.

In an announcement signed by Bangkok governor Police General Aswin Kwanmuang, operators certified with SHA and Thai Stop Covid Plus can serve alcoholic drinks for an extra two hours having only been allowed to serve until 9pm under the previous order.

Night entertainment venues such as pubs, bars, and karaoke parlours remain closed until December 31, according to the announcement. Pol Gen Aswin urged operators of night entertainment venues to register their establishments for reopening and inspection by relevant agencies.

When the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) agrees to allow them to resume activities tentatively in mid-January, they will then be ready to reopen immediately, he said.
