CHIANG RAI: Thai and Myanmar authorities have rescued a woman from Udon Thani who fell victim to human trafficking in Myanmar’s Shan state.
The 29-year-old woman, identified only as Nam, was deceived by Chinese operatives to provide sexual services to its call centre workers in the state.
The case was brought to the attention of Chiang Rai police, immigration police and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security after the victim asked for help through a citizen journalist’s Facebook page called Ninja Today.
