Thai players hope to be spurred on by home supporters during next month’s season-ending tournaments in Bangkok.
The Thai fans will be in a unique position to enjoy live stadium viewing of three top-class badminton tournaments in three successive weeks when the season resumes at Muang Thong Thani’s Impact Arena.
The HSBC BWF World Tour 2020 kicks back into action with the Yonex Thailand Open from Jan 12-17, followed by the Toyota Thailand Open, also a Super 1000 event, a week later from Jan 19-24.
The season will end with the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2020 from Jan 27-31.
The first two events offer a total purse of US$1 million each, while the 2020 season finale has a total prize fund of $1.5 million.
The list of players qualified for the World Tour Finals will be determined at the conclusion of the Jan 19-24 Toyota Thailand Open.
