A synth-pop band released a song commemorating the Oct. 6, 1976, massacre this afternoon.
The trio behind Polycat dropped a new music video for Will Go Back to You that’s dedicated to the victims of the Thammasat University massacre in which dozens of students were murdered 45 years ago today.
According to singer-songwriter Rattana Junprasit, the song of nearly four minutes was inspired by some of the survivors’ words recalling the eve of the massacre on Oct. 5, and the generation’s enduring hopes.
The animated video shows symbols of self-determination from the ‘70s and now.
