Super Energy acquires solar and WtE assets in Thailand

Super Energy Corporation Public Limited Company (Super) has acquired two renewable energy assets in Thailand.

Super has acquired Equator Solar Company which operates 75 MW of solar generation facilities in Khao Yai. These facilities supply energy to the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Additionally, the company has also acquired Super Earth Energy 6 Company which operates 9 MW of waste-to-energy (WtE) power plant in Phichit province. The plant also supplies energy to PEA. Super is also planning to offload its stakes in Thatako Solar Energy Company. The company considers this to be an inactive asset as it didn’t qualify under the Energy Regulatory Commission’s 5.2 GW renewables scheme.
