SRT notifies the freight train 2251 derailment

SRT reported the incident of the freight train No. 2251 derailed between Map Kabao Station and Pha Sadet Station, Saraburi Province. with a temporary change in the starting and ending stations of the Northeastern route

Mr. Ekarat Sriarayanpong Head of the Governor’s Office The State Railway of Thailand (SRT), Ministry of Transport, informed that on August 4, 2023, at 3:40 a.m., the SRT received a notification of a cargo train No. 2251, a truck of concrete blocks from Viharn Daeng to Ban Mai Samrong. Derailed at kilometer marker 138/10 between Map Kabao Station and Pha Sadet Station, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. causing 3 trailers to derail, obstructing the traffic As a result, all trains on the northeastern route were delayed.

After the incident, Mr. Nirut Maneepan, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand Executives were assigned to the accident site and instructed relevant officials to speed up the lifting of the derailed vehicles. in order to be able to open the bus on the northeast route as usual as soon as possible It is expected that it will be able to lift the derailed train. Including repairing and improving the condition of the road to complete ready to be activated as usual by this evening

However, during the lifting of derailed containers, the SRT has unloaded passengers and adjusted the starting and ending stations of the train on the northeastern route as follows:

1. Special Express Train No. 21, Krungthep Aphiwat Central Station – Ubon Ratchathani, change the route to use the route between Kaeng Khoi Junction – Bua Yai Junction – Nakhon Ratchasima – Ubon Ratchathani.
2. Rapid train No. 135, Krungthep Aphiwat Central Station – Ubon Ratchathani, transfers passengers by car from Kaeng Khoi Junction Station to Muak Lek Station. and continue by train from Muak Lek to Ubon Ratchathani
3. Ordinary trains No. 233/234 Bangkok – Surin – Bangkok transfer passengers by car between Kaeng Khoi Junction Station – Muak Lek – Kaeng Khoi Junction. and continue by train until reaching the destination station
4. Special Express Train Rail No. 71/72 Bangkok Apiwat Central Station – Ubon Ratchathani – Bangkok Apiwat Central Station Transfer passengers by car between Kaeng Khoi Junction Station – Muak Lek – Kaeng Khoi Junction. and continue by train until reaching the destination station
