SRF Thailand starts commercial production at its new BOPP line

Even as the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak slowed factory operations for months across Thailand, SRF Ltd started commercial production at the world’s largest BOPP films line at its factory in Thailand as per its scheduled time.

The company commenced operations in the second week of July. SRF Thailand’s new 10.4 metres x 600 mpm x 8300 kgs/hr 5-layer BOPP line is from Brueckner and has a production capacity 66,000 tonnes per annum. This is the second highest capacity Brueckner Group GmbH, Germany, offers, after Polytex Technologies, Indonesia. As against 9 tonnes per hour of BOPP film production capacity of Polytex Technologies, SRF has a total production capacity of 8.4 tonnes per hour.
