Srettha then expressed the government’s commitment to push Thailand as a regional hub for commerce and logistics, adding that the government prioritises mega-projects to establish infrastructure that strengthen supply chain and logistics in the Asia-Pacific region.
One of the highlighted mega-projects is the land bridge connecting the coast of the Andaman Sea to the Gulf of Thailand, which would create a shortcut between the Indian and Pacific oceans, enhance the efficiency of global goods shipments, and reduce dependence on the congested Straits of Malacca.
Srettha said Thailand welcomes investments from the US business coalition in these mega-projects, and expects to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas that benefit both countries, including supply chain expansion, green energy transition, and digital transformation.
