My wife and I are heading to Phuket next Tuesday 29 August until Sunday 3 September and we are lost on what to do.
We booked tickets because we heard Phuket is a great place but we havent really looked at what there is to do there.
I am in the mood to spend a few days lounging around at the beach and relaxing. In addition to the beach vibe, my wife is looking to do some cultural stuff.
Given this we have a few questions:
– are there any famous buddhist temples / pagodas in Phuket and if so where are they?
– What are the nicest beaches on the island that are not too touristy ?
– which part of the island would you recommend staying in given our mixed desire for beach vibes and cultural site seeing?
– how cheap is Phuket and would $1000 budget for 5 days (including accomodation and airport transfers)?
