Spam calls right as I entered Thailand

I landed in Thailand last night and have already received 5+ calls from scam numbers within 24 hours. (This is just after doing some research that +697 calls are likely spam/scammers). I’m wondering how it’s possible that they have access to my number right after entering the country? For reference, it’s very odd because this is a call to my US number, since I have an international plan my number hasn’t changed. I haven’t answered these calls, but I’m wondering where they could’ve gotten my information from?
