SONGKHLA: A village with about 400 households in Sadao district was heavily flooded on Sunday morning after being hit by run-off from the Khao Nam Khang mountain range on the Thai-Malaysian border following a heavy downpour on Saturday.
The heavy rain began on Saturday afternoon and continued until late evening, water to cascade down the mountain to inundate Nam Lat, a village in tambon Sanmak Taew of Sadao district.
Nearly the entire village of about 400 households was flooded, including roads and farmland.
The water was running rapidly and at a dangerously high volume in some areas.
