Sony Interactive Entertainment has finally announced the long-anticipated release date for its PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles in Thailand.
Sony announced the news on Friday, January 8 via its website, noting that the consoles will be available from February 5, 2021. Pre-orders, however, are scheduled to go live on Saturday, 22 January at 11AM local time.
Unlike pre-orders for the consoles in other countries in the region, Thailand’s pre-orders will take place solely online, meaning no physical gaming stores will be open for pre-orders.
The standard edition of the PS5 – which comes with 4K Blu-Ray disc drive – will cost THB$16,990. The digital edition of the PS5, which will not include a disc drive, will cost THB$13,990.
