To make some noise before next week’s announcement of Asia’s 50 Best Bars, the annual ranking frenzy has released those who didn’t make the cut, but were damn good nonetheless.
Speakeasy Find the Locker Room and skyhigh The Loft in the Waldorf Astoria made their first appearance on the list, and Smalls climbed from its previous place at 93 to rank No. 69. Teens of Thailand, a long-time favorite, dropped from 49th to 64th.
On Thursday, the announcement ceremony will be held in Bangkok with a week of drinking events all over the city. The current count is around 40 events with more set to be added. For the past two years, Asia’s 50 Best Bars held their ceremony online due to the pandemic.
