The upcoming The Standard Mahanakhon has announced it will house a Mexican kitchen sitting pretty 300 meters in the sky.
Located on the 76th floor of the MahaNakhon skyscraper, Ojo Bangkok will open its door to diners on June 8. The contemporary Mexican restaurant will be helmed by chef Francisco “Paco” Ruano, who will cook up unique interpretations of Mexican dishes inspired by the flavors of his hometown in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Among those dishes are aguachile with fresh tiger prawns and fresh coconut ceviche served with young coconut, fermented soy, and leche de tigre with yellow chili. More inventive dishes include a slow-cooked short rib birria — a traditional stew mixed with goat and sheep cooked with aromatic spices at a low heat.
