Shabu

Many of us “farangs” know about shabu restaurants. There are the franchises and then there are the locally owned ones. When I am traveling with my Thai friends in Isaan, they want to stop at these locally owned cheap shabu restaurants. I think the meat is inferior quality and I question the “quality control” of these places. You could slice up dog meat into paper thin slices and boil it in the tum yum soup and wouldn’t know the difference. These restaurants are all over the place but definitely vary in quality and cleanliness ( the franchises are ok)
Any opinions on these local shabu restaurants???
