Sentry box, security cameras torched

SONGKHLA: A village security sentry tower and six surveillance cameras were destroyed by arsonists in Chana district on Sunday night.

Pol Col Pacharapol Na Nakhon, the Chana police chief, led investigators to the scene of the fires at Ban Thalo village, in tambon Saphan Mai Kaen, on Monday morning.

He said the attackers placed a car tyre against the raised sentry box in front of the Thalo village security office and hung motorcycle tyre tubes on a post supporting security cameras. They then set fire to them.

This happened about midnight.

The fires demolished the door and roof of the sentry box, and ruined six cameras.
