Sea Fangs bite Angels to go top

Unfancied Samut Prakan City took the sole lead in Thai League 1 after beating 10-man True Bangkok United 3-1 last night.

Second-half strikes by Daisuke Sakai (47), Eliandro (57) and Jaroensak Wonggorn (77) finished off the Angels, who got a consolation goal from Peerapat Notchaiya in the 80th minute.

Bangkok United were reduced to 10 men when Thossawat Limwannasathian was sent off after 30 minutes for a reckless tackle.

The referee initially booked him but changed his mind and gave him the marching orders after a lengthy VAR review.

Seen as relegation contenders before the season started, the Sea Fangs have seven points from three games.
