Russian Tourist Slightly Injured After Trying to Defuse Fight Involving Firearm Between Two Thai Men






Pattaya —

At 4:30 AM, on October 14th, 2023, Pattaya City police officers received a physical assault report on a foreign tourist on Pattaya Soi 15, and an unidentified culprit reportedly had a firearm.

In the incident, the tourist victim was identified as Mr. Artem Kitaichik, a 27-year-old Russian, who suffered lacerations on the lips. A rescue team performed first aid before transferring Artem to a nearby hospital. Another victim, an unidentified taxi driver, fled away by his taxi.
However, the unidentified alleged culprit was able to abscond by a motorcycle.


An unidentified witness told the police officers that the alleged culprit rode his motorcycle and reportedly pointed a firearm and shouted insults at the unidentified taxi driver. In the meantime, Artem who witnessed the incident, tried to persuade the alleged culprit to lower his firearm but the alleged culprit hit Artem in the lips before fleeing away from the scene. The unidentified taxi driver drove away during the incident.
Initially, an investigative team was dispatched to find clues to the alleged suspect who carried a weapon in a crowded public area. The police officers would conduct a further investigation on local CCTVs to find the alleged suspect for further legal proceedings.
