Rooms with pools worth it?

Hello, currently I’m looking at renting a place to stay for about a month in October.
Some of the places I find on airbnb or booking have pools, so the question is, would places like that be worth it considering the pool, or should I focus attention on other details.
Of course the pool is nice to cool down, but if they are small or always crowded, it might not be worth to pay for having a pool and using it a small number of times.
Any other comments and opinions appreciated.
