Rodrigues second in day one of decathlon

CANYON – West Texas A&M’s Loic Rodrigues is in second place in the decathlon following the first five events of the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted in Canyon. 

Rodrigues finished day one with 3,913 points, 62 behind the leader Elvis Kryukov of Angelo State. Gerard Bryant sits in seventh with 3,520 points, 48 points back from Angelo State’s Jakob Porter. 

On the women’s side, Laiten Greeson sits in second place after the first four events of the heptathlon at the LSC Championships. Elliot Harrison sits in sixth with 2,854 points after setting personal bests in three of the four events. Cheyann Shadden also set personal bests in three events as the freshman sits in ninth with 2,571 points.
