If ever a straight guy was in need of a queer eye, it’s the deputy PM. Transforming “the watch guy” into an appealing product for the upcoming general election sounds like an immensely difficult task. There is something of the bear about Prawit and, despite his unique cuddly cuteness, not much of that bear is the teddy type.

You opened your door one morning and a strangely friendly grizzly walked in and took up residence in the corner of your kitchen. He’s been there ever since, cracking jokes and chewing merrily on juicy bones. Always has the time of day for everyone, does old Prawit. Nation’s favourite grandfather. Harmless, mostly.
