Recommendations for picturesque locations in and around Chiang Mai

Hello, this is a tad late notice however my partner and I are currently on an overnight bus from Chumphon to Chiang Mai and we’re due to arrive midday tomorrow. We plan to stay for around 6/7 days and have some things planned in that time like the Grand Canyon, a few temples and other touristy stuff.

However we have been travelling through Thailand for nearly a month now and have often found that we have missed a load of hidden gems in all the places we have stayed due to us not going about exploring as much or not asking for enough recommendations.

Does anyone here have any recommendations for really nice and picturesque places in and around Chiang Mai? Can be cafes, restaurants, gardens, temples, any recommendation is appreciated!
