Just got my single-entry visa in the local Thai embassy. My flight is Tuesday next week to BKK, then leaving the next day, Wednesday morning to Bali via DMK, and returning to Bangkok the following week (Bali to DMK). My visit in Bali is sort of an obligation so I can’t avoid it.
Been researching a lot and I’m trying to figure out what’s the best way to get the reentry permit:
1. Do it in DMK the morning of the flight to Bali (I assume I need to show up like 3-4 hours before my flight to make it in case there’s a long line)
2. Do it on the day when I first arrive in Bangkok – landing in BKK around 10am, I’ll get the fast-track immigration and hopefully out by 11-11:30, then take a taxi straight from the airport to the complex in Chaengwattana and hope they do it for me after lunch
3. Do it on the day when I first arrive in Bangkok but still in BKK – I read that it’s located after security but before passport-control, so I can buy some cheap ticket flying out of BKK that afternoon, leave my bags with my bf (who doesn’t need a visa to enter), go through security, get the permit and ask someone to let me back out.
4. Just skip the whole thing altogether, fly directly to Bali and then go to Bangkok after that – will not need the reentry permit but the flight will cost me so much more (so this is obviously my least favorite option)
