The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra will give a concert to mark the 91st birthday of HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, in the Main Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Saturday at 7.30pm.

Conducted by German maestro Christian Kunert, the uplifting programme will be full of vitality. It will begin with Richard Wagner’s majestic overture to Die Meistersinger Von Nürnberg.

Joining the orchestra as a guest soloist will be Bulgarian virtuoso Emile Naoumoff, who will perform Edvard Grieg’s iconic Piano Concerto In A Minor. The evening will conclude with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s equally brilliant and life-affirming Symphony No.4 In F Minor.
