Ratchaburi suffer another loss, left facing elimination

Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi are staring at elimination after losing 4-0 to Japan’s Nagoya Grampus Eight for their third successive defeat in as many games in Group G of the AFC Champions League on Monday.

A first-half hat-trick by Ryogo Yamasaki at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium and a Manabu Saito strike finished off the Beetles.

Ratchaburi are still seeking their first point in their ACL group stage debut although they are playing on home soil as all Group G matches are being staged at Rajamangala.

Ratchaburi initially had to compete in the play-offs but earned a direct entry to the group stage thanks to several factors.
