Rapidly spreading fire on Soi Wutthakat 18 damages 31 homes before being subdued

A fire broke out on Soi Wutthakat 18, located in the Talat Phlu subdistrict of Thonburi, early this morning. While firefighters were able to subdue the conflagration, it left 31 homes damaged and 100 residents homeless.

Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt surveyed the damage and a relief center has been set up to provide temporary shelter to the residents who were evacuated.

The fire broke out at around 5.30 am and was brought under control by 6.20am. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and most of the affected individuals were tenants of the area.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the damaged houses were closely situated, causing the fire to spread rapidly in a wide area. However, more than 10 fire hoses were promptly deployed effectively containing the fire within Soi Wutthakat 18 and Soi Wutthakat 20. It took approximately 45 minutes to bring the…
