Prayad Marksaeng continued his brilliant run in Japan on Sunday winning his fifth consecutive title at the Fukuoka Senior Open.
The 56-year-old Thai, who has been playing on the Japanese senior tour since 2016, shot a four-under-par 68 in the second and final round at Fukuoka Country Club.
He defeated local star Hiroyuki Fujita by one shot.
“I am really happy. I have been playing in Japan for many years and this is the first time I have won five titles in a row,” said Prayad, who has competed in 11 tournaments this year.
“Although I have already won many titles, I still want to win more.”
Sunday’s win was his 20th on Japan’s senior circuit.
