Political awakening and the “new wave”

“The enduring legacy of October-14 Uprising is the empowerment of young people as seen in their political participation these days.   They were fed up with the military which was in power for 8-9 year. There was an election and yet senators still call the shots.  Now we are seeing a political awakening of young people who have become a “new wave” which is much bigger that what we saw in the aftermath of the October uprising. There were elections after the uprising, but they did not create the kind of wave we see today.”
