Police seek to arrest Thai woman for involvement in Taiwanese man’s murder

Police are to seek a warrant for the arrest of a Thai woman suspected of involvement in the murder of a Taiwanese man at a hotel in Bangkok’s Phra Khanong district.

Based on the account of a Myanmar national, one of the two suspects already in police custody, the woman, whose identity was not disclosed, hired the Myanmar man to follow the victim. Police suspect that the woman could be the contact point for the three perpetrators and the mastermind.

The Myanmar man, identified as Zwe Lin Pyae, told the police that he traced the Taiwanese man to his hotel, where he had checked in on Tuesday. The Myanmar national and his Cameroonian accomplice, John Agbor, then checked into the same hotel, but on a different floor.

The suspect allegedly said he and a European, who is still at large, forced their way into the Taiwanese man’s room, tied him up and ransacked the room looking for cash…
