The AFC Champions League group stage kicked off on Tuesday with Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi off to a losing start in their ACL debut with a 2-0 defeat to South Korea’s Pohang Steelers.
In a Group G match at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium, Boris Tashchy opened the scoring for the K-League 1 team in the first half and Lim Sang-Hyub added their second late on. In the other Group G game, Japan’s Nagoya Grampus faced Johor Darul Ta’zim late last night at the same venue.
All Group G games are being played at Rajamangala. Ratchaburi will aim to bounce back against Johor Darul Ta’zim on Friday while Nagoya take on Pohang.
